Being a hockey player and fan of the game, I was thrilled for the opportunity to design this hockey-focused book, front to back.

The cover features each of the five spotlight goalies, and incorporates colors from the original six teams.

Chapters One through Five describe the early careers of five goal tenders, their lives, challenges, and professional growth. The next ten chapters are a year-by-year accounting of seasonal play, from 1960-61 to 1969-70. Final chapters return to focus on the goaltenders and their end-of-career wrap-ups. Typography separates the two story perspectives (serif for the goal tender stories; san serif for the year-by-year team accounts). Stats pages are designed to be reminiscent of the simple black-and-white television graphics of the era. News clippings and scrapbook ephemera are used throughout.
