Joan discovered the benefits of nutrition and juicing in particular, and was moved by how radically the daily habit improved stamina and increased energy for herself and those around her. Inspired by her own high school-aged kids, and motivated to encourage healthier lifestyles for anyone who would listen, she wrote this book. This slim self-published volume is primarily directed toward young athletes, though the principles and health benefits can be realized by people of any age.
Stock photos of athletes on the cover and inside covers are fruit and vegetable-juice colors to reinforce the theme. The body of the book is two-color—black and electric carrot orange. I selected a heavy brush-stroke title font and created illustrations to match. Also created a promo pamphlet to hand out for advertising.
Chapters include how fresh juicing can benefit your body and energy levels, getting started, a range of recipes, testimonials from people who have taken up juicing as a lifestyle, health resources, and more, and I have some samples if you’re interested.
