Prevue Pet Products wanted to offer customers a recording unit for teaching birds words and phrases. The concept was to record the owner’s voice, and set the recording on playback, and allow the bird to mimic the sounds and learn the speech pattern.

I sketched out shapes for the unit, and, once the shape was determined, offered typographic solutions for the unit.

We decided on an old radio / speaker theme, and the final production unit was a charming success. Packaging is bright and attractive, and visually portrays the call-and-response result of the product.

I wrote all the text, instructions, and designed the packaging and instructions. From the introduction of this product to the market, it has been a top seller.
