American Dairy Association of Michigan (ADAM)

ADAM (the American Dairy Association of Michigan) asked us to create a promotional campaign to promote milk to kids, featuring their spokesman for the year, Detroit Tigers’ pitcher Mike Henneman. We created various materials and in-store shelf talkers, as well as a Kid’s Club Kit, with a headshot poster for signing, an activity booklet filled with cartoons, coloring pages, puzzles, a game board, and more.

Being a fervent admirer of the MAD Magazine style of filling the page with more than meets the eye, I wrote and illustrated a comic featuring Mike Henneman as “Ace Bullpen” in a story titled “‘REAL Gone’ or ‘No Milk In The Pitcher’ .” It was a pun-filled romp filled with tangential Easter eggs throughout. Still one of my favorites. Also illustrated the board game we created, and the coloring pages, and more.

Did you notice, the opposing team name — the Oleos? Works on so many levels. 😉
